Hacía tiempo que no escuchaba Genesis, y ayer escuchando la radio
mientras limpiaba pusieron una de las canciones que más me gustaban, Genesis no
es un grupo que me guste mucho mucho mucho, pero no puedo evitar muchas veces
que escuchando una canción cualquiera de ellos, tenga buenos recuerdos. También
me gusta algunas canciones de Phil Collins, aunque los fans incondicionales de
Genesis prefieran cuando estaba Peter Gabriel antes que decidiera probar en
solitario y dejar a Phil al frente de la banda. El grupo tuvo un tiempo de
descanso y Mike Rutherford (bajista) creó Mike
And The Mechanics, otro grupo que me gustó un tiempo algunas canciones, pero
prefiero Phil Collins o Genesis más que Mike and the Mechanics

En el tiempo que me dio por escuchar
Genesis, yo solía ir a una cadena de radio y me dejaron el Grandes Éxitos que
sacaron por aquel tiempo, me lo grabé en una cinta y me gustaba mucho. Poco
tiempo después un amigo me dejó Invisible
Touch (1986) y Duke (1980), para
ver si me gustaban. Invisible Touch lo grabé entero, de las que destaco Invisible Touch, Tonight Tonight Tonight, Land of confusion, In too deep y Anything she does, en cambio de Duke sólo me gustaron y me grabé Misunderstanding y Turn it on again. Descubrí en la tienda habitual donde solía comprar mis cds favoritos que tenían a muy buen precio unas ediciones japonesas (formato cartón con su librito de letras y tal) de bastantes álbums de Genesis y decidí comprarme dos de ellos, uno fue We can't dance (1991) de las que destaco No son of mine, Jesus he knows me, I can't dance y Hold on my heart. El otro fue The way we walk Vol. 1 The Shorts (1992) que tenía las canciones que más me gustaban pero en directo. Con esos cds ya me planté, pero resumía bastante bien las canciones que más me llamaban la atención. De las que no menciono por no salir en los álbums que tengo pero si me gustaron también son Follow you follow me, That's all y tal vez... Congo. De Phil Collins sólo tengo un cd de grandes éxitos grabado de mi hermano y la banda sonora de Tarzán en inglés que me grabé de una amiga y ya me vale. Lo mismo de Mike and The Mechanics, el grandes éxitos que me lo compré por orgullo, me llevé bronca de mi padre y además todo porque esa misma persona de la radio no me lo quiso prestar, aun no entiendo porqué justo ese no, si me había dejado algunos de Toto (no se para qué, me cansé rápido de ellos, aunque en esos momentos me gustaban un poco algunas canciones). Yo llegué a la conclusión que tendría algún valor sentimental o vete a saber que era realmente, porque era un cd normal y corriente, vamos.
